Join the AOSA as a Pre-Optometry Member

Are you interested in learning about a career as an optometrist?

Then become a pre-optometry student member of the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) today and continue your membership throughout your career in optometry school and beyond!

What is the AOSA?

The AOSA is an affiliate of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and  is the largest optometry student organization. AOSA represents the interests of more than 6,600 optometry students in the 23 optometry schools throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.  An independent 501 (c) 6 organization, the AOSA’s Executive Council and Board of Trustees are all full-time optometry students and represent all schools.

What are the benefits of becoming a Pre-Optometry member?

Membership will include a certificate and membership card, the latest issue of our AOSA Foresight magazine (published biannually), a cleaning cloth, an AOSA lapel pin (great for interview day!), and one more item that will be selected from recent AOSA membership benefits. You will also have access to publications as well as the opportunity to stay current and involved on issues affecting optometry!  Please note: Pre-Optometry members are not full members in the AOSA or AOA — you must begin optometry school to join as a full member and will receive your membership ID number then.

How much is the membership fee?

The cost of a pre-optometry student membership is $35 dollars per year. Becoming a member is easy!  To get started, visit here.
